Commentary

Liam Solomon, spokesperson of CasinoApps had his say on the data: “With the F1 coming to Nevada in late November, there is sure to be an increase in tourists and sports fans in the city.

“We feel it is important to point out which hotels are deemed as the most dangerous, so F1 fanatics can make the right choice when booking their hotel rooms. Silverton Casino Lodge is a great option though, after we found it is the safest casino in Las Vegas.

Methodology

To identify the most dangerous casino in Las Vegas, we conducted an analysis using customer reviews on TripAdvisor. In order to qualify, each entry had to have a minimum of 1,000 reviews. For hotel casinos that had separate TripAdvisor pages for each facility, we combined the reviews.
We searched through 826,000 reviews across 175 casinos in Las Vegas Nevada, using a set of targeted keywords – ensuring that there were no duplicates. These were: dangerous, unsafe, scary, shady, sketchy, unsecure, stolen, accident, assault, illegal, theft, safety and hazard.
Once the reviews were compiled, we calculated the percentage of reviews mentioning these keywords. Furthermore, the hotel casinos were then ranked from highest to lowest based on the amount of reviews containing these keywords.
This ranking then enabled us to identify the hotel casino that is the most dangerous in Las Vegas.
