To calculate our findings, we assessed local Wetherspoons, Greene King and O\u2019Neills pubs in each city. And to qualify, each city had to have at least two of the three chains mentioned.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cheapest Pints Of Guinness In The UK<\/b><\/h2>\n

Guinness is one of the most popular alcoholic beverages in the UK, but sometimes punters can pay a little over the odds for the Irish-brewed stout.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, with St Patrick\u2019s day on the horizon, we have found the top 10 cheapest cities in the UK to buy a Guinness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PRESTON is the cheapest place to buy a Guinness in the UK according to our study, setting you back just \u00a33.95. Find the full list below where just ONE Scottish city makes the cut (Perth) with zero Welsh involvement as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The majority of the cities listed above would be classed as \u2018northern\u2019, and the most \u2018southern\u2019 city in the top 10 is Wells – with still a fairly priced pint of Guinness at \u00a34.15.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Most Expensive Pints Of Guinness In The UK<\/b><\/h2>\n

Now looking at the more expensive pints of Guinness in the UK, unsurprisingly plenty of \u2018southern\u2019 cities make the list up. On the other hand, northern cities York and Scottish capital Edinburgh are also involved.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Interestingly but again not surprising, Westminster and London are where you\u2019ll find the two most expensive pints of Guinness in the country. See below which cities make up the rest of the top 10.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When looking at the cheapest and most expensive cities, Guinness lovers will have to fork out 63% more if they want a pint in Westminster (\u00a36.45) compared to Preston (\u00a33.95).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Methodology<\/h2>\n

To find the cheapest and most expensive cities to buy a pint of Guinness on St. Patrick\u2019s Day, we analysed menus from three different major pub chains – Greene King, Wetherspoons and O\u2019Neills.<\/span><\/p>\n

Doing so allowed for us to calculate an average price for each city.<\/span><\/p>\n
